Lacy is a one- to two-year old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix. She looks like a lanky English Cream Golden Retriever since her hair is longer than a Lab. She's a creamy white with fawn colored ears. When she was surrendered to the shelter she weighed 80 pounds, but when I took her to our Vet she was down to 74, so she was clearly very stressed. She's a big girl and should probably be around 85 or 90 pounds. Lacy is incredibly sweet and gentle and gets along with all dogs, although she doesn't care to wrestle. She LOVES to chase. She will chase anything that moves. When we first got her she had no interest in getting the ball, just chasing it. Yesterday, she finally chased it and brought it back. :-) I don't think she was treated well in her last home as she is a little timid but getting much better as time goes on. She doesn't appear to be afraid of anything...vacuums, our Roomba, traffic, or the El train at the dog park. She's not even afraid of storms. We had a thunder storm the other day, and she slept right through it. Lacy also loves children and just seems to melt when they pet her on the street and at the dog park. She was checked at our Vet and has no apparent health issues, other than a slight ear infection in her left ear. What Lab doesn't? But that has been treated. Not sure how much she likes water yet, but she went right into the baby pool at the dog park, so I suspect she will like to swim. Also, not sure about cats. She might like to chase them like she does with other dogs, but as soon as she catches them the game is over unless they want to run again. So she would probably be the same with a cat. She has had one accident in the house. We are watching her closely to make sure she knows not to do that again, but she may need a little work on that. All in all, she is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and will make someone a wonderful companion.
