Sky is a six year old, purebred, female English Lab. She's a full figured girl weighing in at around 75 pounds and has a very dense, luxurious coat. Surprisingly, she is not shedding AT ALL! I'm sure that will change with the seasons, but for now its really nice.
As you can see, she is absolutely gorgeous with all the classic characteristics of an English Lab: blocky head, short squat body and a short thick tail. She has been very well taken care of her whole life and has no known issues: no allergies, ear infections, or other special needs. She has been bred and has had puppies in the past, and now it's time for her to retire and enjoy life with a loving family for the rest of her life.
She has shown to be good with everyone including kids and dogs of all sizes. She goes to a dog park in Chicago with lots of noises and commotion, and she's not the least bit afraid of anything. She's not big on playing, but once in a while a dog at the park will look pretty interesting to her, and she will chase them for a short time, but that's about all the playing she does. She has no interest in toys of any kind, but that may change as she gets more accustomed to family life.
Sky walks really well on the leash and doesn't pull at all but always wants to say hello to other dogs when she is walking. She also rides really well in the car and doesn't make a peep. In fact, she has not barked once since we picked her up. She is housebroken but doesn't really know any tricks, like sit, stay, shake. She takes treats very gently from your hand and is an absolute love. She loves attention but does not demand it. Sky is a very gentle soul and would make a wonderful pet for the right family.
