Name's Tigger- HI All…Tigg's Foster Mom here! I wanted to let everyone know, Tigger is a wonderful dog! I really can't understand why he is still here. PLEASE don't let his numeric age of 10 scare you ! This dog acts like a 5-6 year old dog! We have put Tiggs in doggie day care, and training classes-He is such a smart, active dog. The doggie day care people evaluated him-let's see if I can do him the justice he deserves: HE IS SMART! . . . NEEDS A JOB!!! I'M LOOKING FOR AN ACTIVE COUPLE/FAMILY/SINGLE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A COMPANION. He's good with his nose-Hiker-Outdoor Person-Lure Coarse-Walker-Runner. He LOVES attention and wants nothing more than to be with, and do everything for, his people! He loves and looks forward to Doggie Day care and does awesome with other dogs….he is VERY social !!! He won't be happy laying on a couch ALL day !! Update 8/13 Hi Everyone ! My foster mom wants everyone to know I am finally settling in. And I LOVE everyone I meet ! I made a appearance last weekend at a Ice Cream Social. There were lots of other dogs there, and I barked to let everyone know I had arrived. :-) The people I've met over the last 3 weeks have been amazed at my exuberance and love of life and can't believe I am almost 10 years young. So just to let you all know, don't let the age fool you. Mom and I walk every morning and after about 10 minutes or so (I love to sniff-and do my business first) I settle in nicely and walk next to her for the rest of the walk. Mom thinks I would be best with kids over the age of 8 because I'm a bit exuberant and may knock a little one over by accident.. But we can evaluate on a case-by-case basis. I am vocal but not obnoxious. I am a happy, friendly, active and attractive, tall, lanky black male, Labbie. I'll be 10 years old in November, but my foster mom says I act more like a 6 year old. I am obedient and know commands. I love walks and a romp in the fenced backyard a couple times a day. I act silly and run around really fast! My last family's situation changed, so now I'm with LEARN. I was raised with 3 kids ages 6, 8 & 11. The 11 year old brushed my teeth daily, and took care of me. I'd really love a home with some kids to play with and be around, or a adult home were grandkids come to visit. My foster mom was told I've gone to dog parks, but I've not gone since I've been in foster. I was not raised with cats, so I don't know if that relationship would work. I ride nicely in a car. I do bark initially after being crated but settle down. Storms don't bother me. I am a bit vocal, initially, but will quiet down . . . more so if there is another barky dog-then I will chime in. If someone stops by, I'll bark to let you know they're here. I'm settling in with my foster home's dogs and been fine for the most part. If I am not the only dog, please bring your dog along to meet me to see if we are a match. Mom doesn't think I'm bossy, but maybe a bit anxious in new situations. I will play with toys and fetch, but my best attribute is I like to be with my Family. :-) If you are already approved to adopt with LEARN and would like to meet me, contact LEARN and let them know you're interested in ME! If you haven't fill out an adoption application, what are you waiting for? You can fill one out on-line, on LEARN's website under Adoption Process.
