ADOPTION PENDING

UPDATE 10/14/13

Luke's surgery went well.  They removed his leg and the rawhide that had been stuck in his mouth.  He is in a lot of pain, which is to be expected.  The Vet took off his bandages on Saturday because there are two areas that are sore and need to have warm compresses on them several times a day.  He's being a trooper through all of this and is as sweet as can be.

UPDATE 10/7/13

Luke went to the specialist last week who told us his leg injury is to old to be operated on and his leg needs to be amputated.  Luke also has a rawhide bone stuck between his top teeth and his palate that is rotting in his mouth, which will be removed at the same time.  There might be damage to the palate, but we won't know until the rawhile is removed.  His surgery is scheduled for October 8th.  Please say a prayer for this sweet boy.

MEDICAL HOLD

I would like to introduce Luke who was picked up as a stray with medical issues.  Luke is in between 1 and 2 years old and has a muscle tear in his right front leg.  We are currently working with a Vet to have the surgery to correct the tear.  Luke is not able to stretch the leg out.  So he is currently walking on three legs.

Luke is very sweet and affectionate.  He loves to be with you and still wants to play tug and go for walks.  Luke gets along with my dogs and cats and has been a pleasure to foster.  He will be on medical hold due to the surgery, but I will update you after he has surgery on when he will be available.  I'm sure once he is feeling better, he will be much more playful and active.

Thanks,

Luke's foster mom
