Pending Adoption! 10/30 Update from Kendra........It's everyone's best guess that I am really about 3 years old given my activity & energy levels. I am recovered from heartworm and have no restrictions. I will probably do best without a cat. I currently live with 3 of them. I haven't hurt them; I just lick them & chase them if they run. I get along well with the dogs & people in my foster home. I met some young kids recently and that went really well. Contact LEARN if you'd like to know more about me! Happy Halloween! 10/23/13 Update: Foster Mom has decided that I would be best in a home without a cat. Hi Everyone, There are several other dogs in my foster home, & I get along well with them overall. I play and run with the youngest ones because they can keep up with me. There are also cats in my foster home, & I like to say hello to them with a big sniff of their heads. If they run, I sometimes run after them, but I have never hurt them. I’m just curious about them. Most of all, I am looking for love & attention as that was lacking in my previous life. I will sit by your side forever if you pet me & talk to me. If you haven't been approved to adopt, please fill out an application and have a home visit. http://www.labadoption.org/adoption-process/adoption-application.

She will chase the cats if they run, but leaves them alone if they don't. She is learning to play with other dogs & seems to have some interest in retrieving a tennis ball. She likes the doggie pool. She is doing well with her housetraining. 7/8/13 Kendra did test positive for heartworm. We have begun the treatment as of 7/7/13 with monthly medication for two months to be followed by injections early to mid September. She will be spayed in 6-8 weeks after her heat cycle is finished. 9/10/13 We changed the treatment plan. Kendra was spayed mid-August and she had heartworm treatment 9/3-9/4/13. She is on crate rest for 6-8 weeks. She is doing well & wanting to play, but she has to be kept calm until mid-October. |
