Hey, I'm still here, with no inquiries,,,what's wrong with me? What? My age? Poo! I'm a little spit fire. I see people's faces when my foster mom says "Zeus is 10." Oh, I thought he was a puppy. Well, if I look like a puppy and act like a puppy, aren't I then a puppy?
I have "chicken legs" because before I came to L.E.A.R.N. I lived outside in a restricted area and did not have the proper exercise. Now that I have a big yard, I went a bit nuts with the running. I went to the Physical Therapist and had a chiropractic adjustment and a check-up on my back legs. So, I take an inexpensive supplement from the Vet and a few my foster mom adds to my food. I'm in great shape in spite of my little "chicken legs." But for now, I have to do slow walking until I can build up my chicken leg muscles. Woof . . . I would rather run everywhere, not walk....
My name is Zeus, and I am 10 years young. . . I have the activity level of a 5 year old! My owner died when I was 5, and the family didn't want me in the house, so I have lived outside for the last 5 years. I now live with foster mom, 2 big old Labs and 2 cats. We all get along. I don't need to chase the cats, they wait for me to come to them.
I haven't forgot how to live in a home. I am completely potty trained. I am learning the routine of when we go out, when we eat, all that great stuff that I missed for the last 5 years. I am on a healthy diet of no grain kibble....nothing special about that. I also am getting a supplement because all dogs over 8 need to preserve their youthful figures.
I do settle down after a day of being a ball of energy. I know how to "sit," "stay" (just a bit) and learning "down" and "off." I get really excited when I first meet folks, but if you make sure you bend down to greet me, I won't jump.
I really want a family that will love me, and I like the attention and play with other dogs. I have been alone for 5 years, I really want to stay by your side. I go to work with my foster mom where there are dog treats all around me . . . and kids and dogs and cats and a rabbit. I love it all! I greet the customers and their pets...Wow, life is grand!
Won't you please come meet me? I so want a forever family to love me in my senior years.
