Update 12-24-2012 Hi it's Logan, here. I have come back to LEARN. My adoption was good, but I developed a taste of the wild during hunting season, and spent too much time "away" from home. My family was afraid that I would be hurt, lost again or worse, so they decided that I needed to find another home. It was hard for them to do this, but it was done out of concern and love for me. So now I am available to a home with a fence. I am in tiptop condition, all shiny chocolate, sweet and lovable. All that exercise I got running through the fields and forests near my old home have gotten my muscles back to where they should be for a young man my age. I am a little bit silly about the cat here at my foster home, but I do well with other dogs, regardless of size. Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays, and my wish for the New Year is for a safe, loving forever home.
Hi my name is Logan, I am about 2-3 years old and was living on my own in Fulton Co. I am now living with my foster family in Rockford. Before I can progress to available, I have to have treatment for Heartworm. The vet says it is an early case, but I will have to have 2 shots and lay low for 4 weeks. Then I can have "the" surgery done and I will be ready to go. I am sending a picture along with this note so you can see how handsome I am. Update 6-20-12 Just thought I would tell everyone how well I am doing. I am almost done with my quiet time since the Heartworm treatment, and I am feeling a lot better; I have been trying to get my foster sister to play with me, but she is not interested! Today I took an early morning, slow walk around the block with my foster dad; I walk well on the leash, staying to the left and not pulling. I have been on several car rides, too, and I can tell you, I love to go for a ride! I lie down nicely and don't say a peep until we get where we are going.
