Good news!
I am no longer on medical hold. Due to the great chow I am on and care I am all set to be adopted. I am only restricted to certain types of chow due to a food allergy. All of the other tests have come back negative. If you are looking for a good ol’ boy to play fetch with, is good with kids and other dogs as well as cats – I’m your guy!

Update
I thought I would let you know what my current vet status is; it is looking like I have a food allergy, which has been greatly improved since I moved into my foster home and had a change of chow. All of the tests that they have run to date have come up negative and I haven’t had an “episode” in a couple of weeks. When everyone is done poking and prodding at me I will give everyone another update. Ta-ta for now and wish me luck! ~Finnigan

MEDICAL HOLD

Good day everyone, my name is Finnigan and I am 3-1/2 years old.  I am an owner surrender to LEARN due to medical issues both for my family and me. See, I seem to go into these episodes during which I lick and lick and lick, primarily the floor and I will eats lots of grass if you take me outside. I’ve been back in foster care for a couple of weeks now and have only had one of these episodes. Other than this, I am healthy as a horse so right now we are going to do some tests to see if we can figure something out.

I am a very happy, silly young lab that likes to wade into the water. Right now I am a tad overweight by about 10 lbs. but we are working on that. I get to go for a long walk every morning and fetch in the afternoon. I am very good on the leash as well as off – I will come when you call at the park on the trails. Besides being good on the leash I am crated trained and know the basic obedience commands.  I do get pretty excited when I am first let out of the crate, partially because I am so happy to see you so I bounce on my legs. I am good with the other dog that I am staying with, he prefers to be left alone. No counter surfing for me, although I do like to bounce a bit to see what is there but I haven’t jumped up nor do I go after things that aren’t doggie approved.

I love to be with you and will follow you around the house or yard.  I also love meeting other dogs and have played around with them too when they were interested. If you are looking for a lovable pillow, I am your guy.
