After seeing our write-up of Midnight (Miss M) in our spring 2012 newletter we received this update from Draper's family.  It is so great to hear how everyone is doing.

What a wonderful story...I am so glad that Miss M is doing well in therapy.  Our lab, Whisky, had a ruptured disc in his back.  Since he was an almost 12 year old lab, we opted for under water therapy and he also did very well and made a good recovery.  He passed away a few years ago.  We had been approved by LEARN to adopt a lab for awhile.  One day I saw this beautiful yellow lab on your website.  He had to have part of his bowel removed due to a blockage (you know how young labs are about eating everything) and his family he couldn't afford to pay for his surgery.  The vet called LEARN and you paid for his surgery and found a wonderful foster home where he could recover.  We adopted him after he made a full recovery.  His name was "Foster" and we adopted him in December 2008. 

We call him "Draper" and he is the most fabulous addition to our family.  He is a total love and the biggest cuddler I have ever met.  And, of course, we spoil him to death.  I can't thank you enough for the work that you do and allowing us to adopt a wonderful lab after losing our beloved, Whisky...or The Hisk, as we called him.
