Update! Just wanted to let everyone know that I had my last round of chemo and I have a clean bill of health and I am ready for my forever home. I have had 2 of my 6 treatments, and they are going really well. I am just has happy as usual . . you wouldn't know that I had chemo treatments. Since the snow has been flying, I have found a new passion in life. PLOWING! Yep! My handler takes me with him in the truck, and we zoom up and down the parking lots clearing the snow. I wish it snowed everyday! Well that's really all that's new going on. I just wanted to let you know that you can meet me anytime . . I'm just not available for adoption until my treatments are done. Lots of Labbie Love, Luke **** Medical Hold **** Hi! My name is Luke. I'm a big guy (about 100 pounds) with an even bigger heart. I am 7 years old and looking for my forever home. I can be kinda silly and bounce around when you and I play together. I love to ride in the car, especially if you let me stick my head out the window. I walk ok on a leash but need a little work. Since I am so strong I tend to pull some, but I can master that, I am really smart. I know sit and lie down, and I listen very well. Is there something else that you can teach me? I have to tell you what LEARN has done for me. I had some notes in my records when I came into rescue that I had 2 Mast Cell Tumors removed previously. So when I went to the Vet for my check up, LEARN had 3 other lumps I had checked to make sure they weren't bad lumps. Well, one turned out to be another tumor. I went to the UW Vet Clinic in Madison and had all 3 lumps removed. I had an ultrasound and x-rays done to make sure that I don't have anything else hiding in me. Good News! They didn't find anything more! But the Vet suggested because of my history that I have some Chemo treatments just to make sure they got everything. So I will start that after the 1st of the year. Should only take 6 weeks, and then I will be ready for adoption! I am ready to go and spend time with you, or I can curl up and just hang out at home. I am just a happy guy. If you are looking for a big guy that will love you and wants to spend time with you, you have found the right guy.
