Hello Everyone,

I’m Sampson. I hear my foster mom and dad saying I won’t be living with them long because they say I’m a ‘total catch’, not to brag or anything. No one knows much about me other than a shelter in the south said someone brought me in as a stray. The shelter talked to L.E.A.R.N. and after a nice long car ride, I am with my foster family. Everyone’s guess is that I am about 3-4 years old. I don’t have the ‘chew everything in sight’ behavior of a labrador puppy, but I DO like to play with my foster brothers and other doggos at the dog park. Between walks and trips to the dog park, I love to lounge on the dog beds or the couches with my foster brothers. I mean….seriously? Who doesn’t love that?

My mom said to make sure I tell everyone that I am ‘potty trained’ and ‘crate trained’. I sleep through the night in a crate, although I probably don’t have to. I play with the brother who is about my age and the older brother just supervises us. I like chew toys and soft squeekers, but I am really good at sharing too. I am pretty good at sitting, coming when called (sometimes), but man….learning to wait to get in the car is a hard one, but I am trying. I just really like the car because it takes me to fun places like the dog park!

My foster mom said I had to be honest ….. I’m a lab, and I really like food! I have been caught ‘looking’ on the counter to see if there is anything good to eat. I mean you can’t blame a guy for trying.  I take treats nice and share with my brothers and am a gentleman at dinner time.

I had no problems meeting the dog doctor! She was very nice and told me what a good boy I was. I was a little itchy when I first arrived here and I got baths…. A lot! And…. I got some anti-itchy meds. They aren’t sure if I have a seasonal allergy or maybe a food allergy, but right now things are totally under control. Maybe the high quality food I'm getting now was what did the trick.

So if you are looking for a well-behaved, labbie friend and are already approved, let labmatch@labadoption.org know. If you're not already approved, you can start the process at www.labadoption.org!
