8/31/24 Hi everyone it's Lily checking in. I have spent the last couple weeks getting more comfortable at my foster home. Now that Foster Mom understands me better I am ready to start meeting my potential new family. Since I like to play all the time, another young dog would be great. But if not, a yard to play fetch often will work just fine too! Walks are great but I do get bored if I don't get enough exercise. I did enjoy the lake - swimming is a lot of fun. I will need more practice to stay horizontal and not splash so much. But I jumped right in with my foster brother so no fear here. I have also learned to be nice to my cat siblings. They don't like to be chased so now I am just trying to figure out how to play with them. Those bunnies though - I have no self control when it comes to them. I stalk the windows in the evening waiting for them to make an appearance. Once they do, I lose it! I just want to get out there and chase them so bad. I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help myself. Over the last couple weeks Foster Mom also learned I can get a bit of an upset tummy when I am hungry - usually first thing in the morning. I am taking some medicine and getting fed right before bedtime and that seems to take care of it. We're both much happier now. The doctor I saw said I may grow out of it but for now it's under control. Nothing else new to report. I am just your typical young Lab with nothing but play time on my mind. 8/10/24 Hi everyone I'm Lily! I arrived at my foster home about a week ago and have been getting to know my foster family. I'm about 15 months old so it's a perfect fit with my foster brother, even though he is bigger than me. We love to run around and play chase or he's always up for a good wrestle. It can get pretty crazy. He even makes lots of noise when he plays just like me! Sometimes if he needs a break I play on my own just fine. As long as there's a ball I am entertained. I could play fetch all day. Toys are great too. I love to take them all out of the basket. I have loved on a couple a little too much and foster Mom took them away. Apparently the squeaker is supposed to stay inside the toy. I know all my basic commands and listen to foster Mom real well. I don't mind the crate and sleep all night quietly. I did sleep in bed in my old house so I jump up there all the time. It's so comfy. I also have foster cat siblings. They are very very interesting. Foster Mom tells me all the time to leave them alone. I am working on it but they are soooo interesting! So are the rabbits outside. I could chase them all day too! We're going to something called a lake this weekend so I will have to let you know later if it was any fun. But considering I like the little pool in the back yard I think it will be. My old family had to move away really far and I couldn't go, so it's time I start looking for a new one. If you have time to play fetch and a big basket of toys I'm your girl. If you would like to meet me you can let LEARN know at labmatch@labadoption.org. Hope to see you soon!
