Hello Labbie Lovers!!

My name is Remi and I need a home. You see, for the first 6 years of my life I have lived with a very nice couple who lived by a lake where I could swim for hours and chase a tennis ball. Just recently, the husband passed away and my mom had to find me another home. It broke her heart because she did not want to give me up because I am such a wonderful playful girl.

Now I am in this place called a foster home. I will tell you that it took me a couple days to adjust. I had my mom taken away from me and I had another dog friend also rehomed. So it was a very stressful situation. When I came into my foster home, I would go into the kennel just to chill, and when this other dog came around, I would growl. Stress can do different things to different dogs. After a few days of trying to decompress, I am happy to announce that the growling has stopped. I have found this wonderful bucket of dog toys that are all for me (at least that is what I think) and I take them out one at a time and bring them to my bed to chew. Luckily my foster parents are watching me so I do not chew off an ear or tail of the stuffies and swallow it.

I am a shadow dog. I will be by you, or at least within my view, all day. When my foster family sits down to watch tv, I am in the kitchen laying down watching you. My mom said I lay in bed or by her feet all day while she was at home working. Due to the weather outside, I have only had the chance to walk on a leash once and let me tell you, I loved it!! I did not pull and I stayed next to my foster people.

If you are a first time dog owner, I am the right dog for you. If you are an experienced dog owner, you will wonder how much training I have had to become the relaxed dog you see. I do get excited when people come over...I jump up and may knock over a small child. We are working on not jumping. I do play fetch, but have a hard time giving up the ball because I love it so much.

If you would like to see me, please make sure you fill out the paperwork, have your home visit, and been approved by the Board. All of this needs to be done before you can meet any of the labs.
