Hi My Name is Chowder! My foster family calls me Chow or Chowie, but Ill come to just about anything!! I am a 1 yr old Chocolate Lab mix and am all grown up, but my foster mom says I act like a teenager! I love to play fetch, and will bring the toy right back to you and drop it at your feet. I am quite the athlete according to my foster Mom and she says with some training I could be a great agility dog or maybe even a hunters friend…..or, just a really well trained companion. I’m not choosy! I LOVE going on walks, and before I came to my foster Moms house I had never seen a deer. I’m still not sure if I liked it or I was afraid of it, but they can run almost as fast as I can! Foster Mom says I walk well on my leash and will walk as long as you want to because I don’t get tired very quickly! I love to be in the yard and will play with my toys (or chew up, ha! Maybe that’s why she calls me a teenager!) while you are out working, or just by myself if I know you are watching me. I don’t really want to be out of your sight when I’m outside. I have good house manners. I let you know when I need to go potty and I don’t chew on things that are not mine. I am crate trained and I sleep in my crate, but Foster Mom says when I find my forever home I might not need to. I love to cuddle up on the end of the bed or put my head on your legs and fall asleep. I love to ride in the car too!!! I fall asleep and you don’t even know I’m there. There is one thing though, I would like a home where I am the only dog. My first year was a challenge and I prefer to have all the love, attention and toys to myself. So, If you have a fenced yard for me to run in, lots of love, and want a beautiful shiny boy by your side PICK ME!! CHOWDER!!
