12/4/21 Calla(was Stella, responds to Calla now) is back with L.E.A.R.N. We have recently learned that she does not like living in a home with kids. She started out being really shy with all people and warmed up to adults, but is not comfortable around even the calmest kids. There have been a few instances where she has growled at kids when they were just playing around her (not with her). We feel the best home for her is a home without any kids/grandkids. Adult children may be considered. She has a vet appointment next week to make sure that no health issue is the reason she is growling. Calla is a super sweet calm girl! She warms up to strangers a little faster and is more relaxed in the home, since the last time she was with us. She loves other dogs and is super playful. Loves fetch, but still needs some work dropping the ball. Calla knows basic commands like come, sit, lay down and stay, and is very food motivated and would love to learn some new tricks. We are working on leash training, she likes to zig every which way on walks to smell all the smells. Check back soon for updates, Calla would be a great companion for someone who is looking for another dog to love!
