Charleston is a sweet guy and will love you. He loves people and anyone he meets and is instantly their friend. I would continue to socialize him as much as possible after adoption. He’s been respectful of all of the other dogs in the house and is a submissive guy. He is not sure how to play with other dogs even when they show obvious play cues. If the other dogs play too rough for his liking, he will bark and then take himself out of the situation. He’s treat motivated but is incredibly gentle when given a treat- one of the gentlest labs I have fostered. He also thinks he is a lap dog. He does attach quickly to the people around him and maybe be prone to separation anxiety if steps aren’t taken to prevent it. I have been leaving for short time periods and coming back, which has given him confidence that I will return. He will need training to refine the commands he knows and learn new ones. He is eager to please, and this will build his confidence.
