2/22/21~ Hello Roxie here! I’ve had a big day today. I saw the vet today and she said I was a very healthy 11 week old puppy. I now weigh 14.5 lbs. She gave me a shot and some medicine. It’s made me pretty sleepy. My foster mom says I’m a very smart girl. I know sit, working on down, stand, off and a couple really hard things like leave it and wait. I love special training cookies but I will also work for my food. I’m working on the potty thing but sometimes I can’t quite hold it. I sleep in my crate at night and for naps. I get along well with the other dogs that live here and love playing in the snow. 2/14/21 ~ Roxie is doing great. House training is coming along. Still an accident now and then. If we stick to a schedule she does well. Definitely not telling us when she needs to go out. Her stools are formed but soft. She’s been getting a teaspoon of pumpkin with her breakfast and dinner. Lunch we use as a training meal. She has learned sit for treats, sit for meals, sit to be petted and sit at the door to go out and come in. Her down, wait, stand, come and leave it are all coming along. Roxie loves to play. She will play fetch with her ball or rope toy. Despite the frigid weather she loves to chase the big dogs through the deep snow. At times I just laugh because she plows though the deep stuff and loves to poop in it which makes clean up interesting. She sleeps in her crate and during the day will play and settle in the pen.
