3/10/21 - Hi there! I want to introduce myself, I’m Thunder! I have been here for a while but have been keeping a low profile. See, I have something called heartworm and have been going through treatment. I get my last shot in a couple weeks and will be ready to find my forever home. Foster moms says I’m a playful, handsome 1-1.5 year old boy! My favorite place to be is outside and I love toys. I also love shoes, but otherwise I don’t chew on anything inappropriate. I’m crate trained but do well overnight out of my crate, also. I always use the bathroom outside, but I’m still working on getting used to being on a leash for walks. I’d love a fenced yard, and/or lots of play time once my restrictions from my treatment are lifted. Foster mom says I am a quick learner and really enjoy cuddling on the couch with my head (and one paw) on your lap. While I have always been well behaved, about the time I started treatment for heartworm, I started to get a little cranky. I snapped at the resident dog and I have grumbled at the younger kids. Foster mom wonders if it might be because I’m just feeling awful from the heartworms or maybe some of the meds that I’m on? Or a combination? No one is really sure right now, but my foster family thinks that maybe a home without another dog and kids over 10 would be best, just in case.
