Hi Everyone, my name is Luke, I am 3 years old and a very handsome guy! I started out living with my family that had adults, kids, other dogs, etc. I was crated while they were gone during the day and was a very excited boy when let out of my crate when they got home. One day when my family came home and let me out I was super excited and jumping up greeting one of the kids (he was about 10) and as I jumped up my owner pulled me down with my harness they had on me. When that happened I closed my mouth and the kid was too close and well, something bad happened, my tooth and his face met and I caused a tear because of the jerking down from my harness. My family didn’t want anyone upset with them so they turned me over to a shelter, they didn’t even give me a chance to explain! The shelter reached out to L.E.A.R.N. and they took me in and sent me to this neat place called Board and Train. There is a nice lady there that specializes in working with dogs like me and makes sure that I didn’t mean to do anything on purpose. Well after putting me in many situations and TRYING to get me to react (which I didn’t do) she says that it was all just a bad accident and situational, I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone or anything, I just got a label put on me that I do not deserve at all. I am as sweet as pie, take treats so gentle that you almost have to place it in my mouth for me to take it. I love belly rubs, playing with other dogs, and am really just a perfect gentleman. I walk pretty well on a leash and have good recall. I know my history may seem a little concerning but if you are willing to give me a chance I know that I can wash away any doubt you could have about me. The trainer is also willing to talk to you if you would like. She says that whomever get to adopt me is very lucky, she would love to keep me, and sje doesn’t say that very often!
