5/2/20 Tank here, with my pupdate! I've been with my foster family for nearly a week already. I have settled in pretty well and am still a sweetheart :) You should be proud of me, I still have my 2 stuffed toys- well most of them. I like to play fetch with them and shake them and chew pieces off, but I also want it to last so I haven't fully destroyed them yet. We had one rainy day alllll day and I didn't like that much, I only got to go outside quickly to take care of business then back inside, by the next morning I was antsy and I really needed a walk. I think I would do best with a family that could give me a walk/jog daily. When I go on my daily walks, if other dogs bark at me I just stare at them funny, keep walking and don't make a noise, they're just jealous they aren't on a walk :) I really zonk out after that too! I don't mind being on my lead in the backyard, and I think eventually with the right training I would stay in the yard, but if you had a fenced yard for me to run and fetch without being attached to something that would be extra awesome. I've learned that my foster parents will always feed me in the morning and evening- so I've started to leave some food in my dish throughout the day so I can snack when I want to, no one else steals it, it's SO nice. When the tiny human naps, it's my favorite time to also nap. My foster mom gets work done and everyone is happy. The only thing I still haven't felt brave enough to do yet is go upstairs. I know I'm not missing out on anything so I guess it's fine, but if you have a lot of stairs that I would have to use, it might take me some extra time to get used to it. Occasionally I am stubborn about going outside or coming inside, but if you just give me some time I will do it, I just have to work up the courage. I haven't had any accidents in the house either- I'm THAT awesome of a young pup ;) I'm ready to meet my furever family. If you think you would like to meet me please let the awesome people at LEARN know! I have a vet appt. on the 11th of May, but we could meet before that and see if we would be a good match and then maybe I could go home with you right after my second round of vaccines.

4/27/20 Oh, Hello! I've been with my foster family for just over 24 hours, and there is so much love to give and receive. They said I was a bigger boy, and I am a proud 41.5 lbs, but my foster family thinks I'm a smaller lab mix, but my paws look like I might have some room to grow since I'm still a young pup. I'm a little nervous to meet new people but if you let me make the first move then we will be fast friends. I'm pretty quiet, I've only barked once and that's when I finally noticed the funny deer on the wall (why are they there I wonder?!), but after my foster parents assured me it was ok, I agreed and have been quiet again (I don't know what they thought was so funny!). I have had zero house accidents, and enjoy many opportunities to go outside; sometimes I make it a quick bathroom break, sometimes I like to play fetch and sometimes I like to just chill for a minute enjoying the fresh air. Today I went for a 1.5 mile walk in the morning with my foster mom and her 8 month old tiny human. I am SO good on my leash, I don't pull at allllllll, I love getting complimented on my manners. sometimes I want to stop and sniff for a bit but if you tell me to keep going there will be more to explore, I totally keep walking....right by your side-I even enjoyed jogging for a bit ( I think that's what they call it- I don't think I've ever done that before- it felt new, but the wind making my ears flap made me smile, I neeedddd a good daily exercise of your choice). I like when the tiny human takes a nap, then I can take a nap too! The tiny human shares his books with me and pets me when he wants, and I don't mind at all- I'll take all the snuggles I can get. I tried to take one of his toys (I mean he was sharing!) but when my foster mom said no and gave me my toy instead, I listened, and took my toy to my own space to chew. Speaking of toys, I like toys A LOT, I hope you have some new ones for me...I like to chew small pieces of them off at a time...I'll save the rest for later- can't ruin a good thing all at once! ;) Last thing for the day, the only thing I'm unsure of is the stairs. I'm ok with the 2 coming in and out of the house when you let me do it at my own pace, but the foster parents sleep upstairs and that seems scary- I've only tried 2 steps so far, baby steps right?! I like that they don't force me to do anything and give me time to make my decisions. I slept SO good in my crate, I snore a bit when I'm really tired but other than that I don't make a peep while sleeping. I still need a couple weeks to settle in and get my vet appointment done, but when I learn a routine and my manners are up to par I'd love to see if you would be my furever family! I will be sure to have my foster mom give regular pupdates- stay tuned.
