ADOPTION PENDING
So, I saw the doc on Thursday and he says I’m healthy enough to get snipped (Not sure I like the sound of that! ) He said the issue in my back end is just arthritis.…what senior doesn’t have some arthritis, right? I guess I could use some muscle mass too. None of that is stopping me from enjoying life, but my foster mom says that I should take it easy, because I’m probably just not showing the pain I’m in. The vet talked to my foster mom about a medicine that he really thinks will help me, so L.E.A.R.N is going to start me on after my surgery. I think I heard foster mom call it Adequan. I sure hope it helps, because I love playing in the yard with my younger foster siblings, and I've got plenty of spunk left in me. Foster mom says I’m a very good listener too…even better than my foster siblings.. My recall is great, I don’t need a fenced yard. I know all my basic commands too. I don’t bother the cat either. I love to snuggle on the couch with my humans, and I miiiiiiight just be a bit of a bed hog, but foster dad puts up with it because I keep his feet warm. You can see in the videos that I’m even trying to “show up” the youngsters I live with… I’ll be ready for adoption soon after I have that surgery, so if you’d like to meet me and have already filled out an adoption application, been interviewed and approved, please let labmatch@labadoption.org know. Otherwise, to start the process go to www.labadoption.org/info/adoption . I’d also be forever grateful if you’d consider donating to my surgery and the medicine that should help me feel better.
11/24/19 Hi! My name is Duke!
My owner passed away, and there was no family to take care of me, so I ended up in a shelter. The folks at L.E.A.R.N. sprung me from there, and now I am settling in to my foster home. I'm 9-1/2 years young... and I heard my foster mom mention that I have a few medical issues that need addressing. I have some weakness in my back end, and
I heard the words "snip, snip" about one of the issues????
For now I'm making myself comfy at my foster home, but I wanted you all to know that I'm here.
Stay tuned for more updates.
