*** MEDICAL HOLD *** Hello everyone! My name is DAISY, and my foster mom and dad tell me that I am their "sweet dollop of Daisy." I have now been with my foster family for one month, and I am LOVING the good life, soaking up all the TLC I can, whether taking a nap in my foster dad's lap or snuggling in all my new favorite spots, especially the couch. Oh, and I have these two wonderful canine foster siblings, and we have so much fun together. They also tell me that I am a bit of a character, whatever that means, but I do know that I make them laugh pretty often, so that must be a good thing. I didn't always have life treat me so well, as some people dumped me in the woods to fend for myself. Luckily, someone found me and took me to a shelter, and thank goodness the shelter contacted LEARN to rescue me! I am not looking back at all; nothing but loving, happy days for me from here on out. One hiccup in this plan, though, is that I have a very large mammary tumor that has turned out to be a rare diagnosis because the tumor is calcified, which makes it very hard. Now that I'm enjoying the good life, I'd really like to enjoy even more of it, so we're planning for me to have surgery at the end of May to remove as much of the tumor as possible, so that my happy life can be extended. The surgery bill could be costly, but I am REALLY hoping that all the Labrador-loving folks out there will consider contributing to pay for my surgery. Thank you from the bottom of my happy heart!
