My name is Rambo! If you are looking for the perfect Lab, look no further. . . I am your man! I am the perfect mix - not too energetic, and not too much of a couch potato.
I was a stray before I came to LEARN. I've been at my new foster home for about a week now. I love it here, and I stick close by. But, my foster mom keeps telling me my forever home will be even better!
I like to play tug of war, fetch, and I like to carry my big stuffed horse around the house, too! I'm definitely more of a food guy, though. So when training me, that will be your best way to go. I have some really good manners: I wait to go out the open door, and I also sit for treats! I'm getting better at not jumping on you when you come home. Sometimes I do beg, I'm learning go lie down when people are eating.
I really love lawn mowers, too, I will walk right next to you and supervise.
I'm crated when my foster mom leaves. One time someone forgot, and I ripped up a little garbage - I don't see what was so wrong with that . . .they didn't want it anyway! My foster mom thinks I may have done it because I was bored after I finished my Kong. So they bought me antlers to chew, and I haven't destroyed my bed in my kennel.
There are also cats at my foster home. I really like chasing them when they hiss at me. I think they're playing with me. I'm not mean at all, and I listen when told to leave them alone. I've also met their ducks and goats. I just whine and want to chase them also, but I'm told I can't play with them. So I leave them alone.
My foster family has discovered I know a few commands. I definitely know sit and paw. Sometimes I listen to stay. We are working on lie down, here, eye contact and off. I'm a super smart boy and pick up things pretty quickly. Within the first 2 days I was here I already figured out that when I go in the kennel, I get a treat. So now I go in there anytime my foster mom takes a treat out of the jar . . . even if it's just to train! :-)
