Hello Labbie Lovers!!!
My name is Dory, and I am a very sweet chocolate Lab!! I was found near central Illinois as a stray, and the wonderful people at LEARN came to save me. I moved into a foster home on January 3rd with four humans, two of them three years old and under, a four-legged foster sister, and two cats.
I am a bundle of fun and love to play! I enjoy chasing the tennis ball and am working on this thing called, “drop,” so my foster parents can throw the ball again. I love to chase my foster sister in the backyard!! I tend to be the dominant one of the two of us. So I am looking for a home with firm and consistent rules. I would definitely benefit from an obedience class. There I could learn to walk great on a leash, listen to and perform commands, and be the best dog ever.
To be honest, all I want is someone to love me because no one has given me the time I need to flourish. They have all tossed me to the side because I have been too much for them. Will you be that person who will steer me in the right direction?
As I said, I need clear and consistent rules. I also need your patience and compassion to learn everything and become the great dog my foster parents know I can be.
I am looking for an active family that can keep up with my energy because I am a younger dog. I am very smart and will pick up on things quick. I would be a great jogging companion.
If you think I would be a good match for your family, please email LEARN and ask about me!!
Lots of Labbie kisses,
Dory
