Hi! This is Lucky. He is a black Lab mix, 70lbs and about 8yrs old. He likes to go for walks, car rides, retrieve tennis balls, swimming in the lake, go to doggy daycare and carry his stuffed animal around the house! He doesn't mind having his ears cleaned and likes to be brushed Lucky gets along with our 2 older dogs but probably wishes they were younger so he could play with them. He likes to be active outside but settles down nicely in the house. He passed his basic training class and the canine good citizen test with flying colors! :-) He is still working on a few things like not jumping up on people when he wants attention and not being too pushy. Lucky has come a long way since he came to live with us. When he first came to L.E.A.R.N. he was a little afraid of men. He was adopted a year ago but came back after his adoptive family reported a biting incident. Since then he has learned how to trust and is very friendly with everyone. We are looking for a special family for Lucky. One who is home most of the time, will continue his training and will exercise him daily. He likes to stay close and has lots of love to give. Because of his size it would be best not to have children under 13yrs. He didn't do the best on his cat test so probably no cats in the house. If you are looking for a big guy who will love you and are willing to visit him a few times so you can get to know each other, please let us know. All questions are welcome.
