November 2nd! I will be at the Badger Kennel Club expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison WI from 10-4. If you are in the area come and meet me! 10/10 update: I am ready for adoption!!! :-) And as you can see by my new picture, I don't have my canines anymore, but I still have plenty of teeth to eat yummy treats with! I am off my pain meds and acting like I don't have a care in the world. I am still eating soft, canned food, but I am going to try kibble next week. I don't know if I will like that, but they say I have to try it. My foster home thinks that there is no way I am close to 10 years old, I have way too much energy and pep in my step for that age. They think that I am much closer to 7 or 8. Don't let my age fool you, I will still be able to keep up with you and play. So, please email L.E.A.R.N. about me and let them know you want to meet me! :-) 9/29 update, I had my dental appointment today, I lost all 4 canine and 6 other teeth that were either broken, severely cracked or dead. I am in a lot of pain but resting. I will keep you all updated on how I am doing and when I might be ready to meet families. But for now I am just trying to heal from today's surgery which was much more involved than anyone thought it was going to be. Hi There! My name is Bear. I am 8-10 years old and full of love! I came to L.E.A.R.N. from a shelter. I was found as a stray about 4 months ago and have just hung out there since. Now that I am in L.E.A.R.N. I've been to the Vet where it was determined that I need to have some dental work done. All 4 of my canine teeth are broken off! So we are hoping once that is taken care of that I will feel a lot better and be willing to eat more solid food. I have lots of lumps and bumps on me so I look a lot bigger than I am . . . just more of me to love. When I bark my front feet come off the floor! I enjoy going for walks, but I am still learning to walk nicely on a leash. According to the shelter I LOVE the water. They couldn't keep me out of the kiddie pools they had there. Do you have a pool that I could lie in? I am not ready to be adopted yet, but I wanted to let you all know that I am here. So, please keep me in mind if you are looking for an older gentleman that will love you unconditionally.
