Howdy partner, Duke here.   I was owner surrender to LEARN because the lady that had me said she couldn't afford me any longer.  A wonderful volunteer from LEARN came and temp tested me, and I passed with flying colors.  LEARN was going to come and get me in a few days, but the lady didn't want to wait so she gave me to Animal Control.  When the LEARN volunteer heard that she came to Animal Control immediately and sprung me.  Boy, I'm glad I didn't have to stay there long.

I'm a yellow boy weighing in at 79 pounds.  I'm at just the right weight for my height.  I'm about 8 years old, and I still have a lot of energy.  I can run up and down my foster mom's basement stairs like a breeze.  I get along great with other dogs (small dogs and big dogs, not sure about cats) and people.  I'm living with a canine foster brother and sister right now.  My mom took me to the dog park, and I intermingled with the other dogs with no problem.   I'm a happy go lucky sort of guy who loves life and lives it to the fullest.

The first day I came to my foster home, I was a little overwhelmed and couldn't stop panting and walking around.  My foster mom put me in a crate, and I settled down immediately.  I love the crate and stay in the crate with the door open now.  My foster mom would like to put the crate away, but I like it too much.   She calls it my security blanket.

I've been to the groomer and the Vet, and everyone can't believe what a great guy I am.  I love to ride in cars.  I need some work with the leash.  I tend to want to get to places in a hurry. and my foster mom has to try to hold me back which isn't easy because I'm pretty strong.  My foster mom said she would keep me in a heartbeat, but two furry children are her limit....so, if you're looking  for one lovable, likable guy, look no further.....
