My name is Bugsy. I am a loveable and high-energy 1-1/2 year old Lab. My former mom lost her job so she had to give me up. I love to play tug-of-war, fetch and run in the yard. I must be on a lead when out in the yard, even if fenced, because I will jump the fence and run. I am learning to walk on leash but still need work. I do know how to sit, shake and take treats very gently. I get very anxious at meal-time, but sit while my foster family puts the bowl down for me. I get along great with my foster family's dog. I am house-trained and sleep through the night. I have my own blanket, and the foster family has a bed for me, but I am more comfortable sleeping at the end of their bed. I ride fairly well in the car, can't wait to get in the car, but get excited to get out when we get somewhere. I am not crate-trained and really don't like being in a crate. I try to get out any way I can. When my foster family leaves, they let me stay out in the house, and I am good! :-) I have not chewed any woodwork or furniture. I will, however, get into the garbage if left out and chew up paper towels and stuff. I also counter-surf. So it is best not to leave any food items on the counter when you're not watching. I was just neutered on May 16th and had all my shots and a negative heartworm test. I am pretty much healed now, but I have a slight ear infection. I have medicated drops for that. Anyway, I am ready to be adopted. If you like to walk, play fetch and cuddle once and awhile, I am the dog for you. If you would like to meet/adopt Bugsy please fill out an adoption application and have a home visit. http://www.labadoption.org/adoption-process/adoption-application.
