Hi, everyone! My name is Jamison. I’m a big black lab with lots of love to give. I’m 6 years old and my hobbies include snuggling, playing with toys, and going for walks. I’m newer to walks and I have about 30 pounds to lose, so foster mom is working on helping me build up my endurance.
I’m a very good boy. I’m house-broken and I know sit, shake, down, and go to bed (crate). I sleep through the night in my crate without a peep, and I love every human and dog I meet. I lived with three young children and two dogs in my last home and did great with all of them. They took me in for five months to keep me from being euthanized when my first owner couldn’t take care of me anymore, but with another baby on the way they decided it would be best to let L.E.A.R.N find a foster home (and someday a forever home) for me.
In my foster home I live with a 4.5-year-old male chocolate lab. We’re getting along well and I do a good job of settling down when he wants some alone time. I’ve only met a cat once, but I was excited and interested. If my forever home has a cat, we’ll have to take our time to get to know each other. Foster mom is also working with me on my car anxiety. Having something like a nylabone to chew on in the car helps me and we’re working on taking frequent, short car rides for practice.
I’ll make the perfect companion for any family with or without children. Ideally, I’ll find a family with another medium/large dog, or I’d be a great only dog. I’m just a big sweetheart who’s ready to find my forever home
