8/31/2022 Penelope is doing very well and her double ear infection and UTI are clearing up. Two professional cleanings and treatments plus oral antibiotics were needed. She is well enough that we are finally able to schedule her spay. She will be ready for adoption after that is completed.

Penelope is a beautiful 4 year old chocolate female that is a retired breeding dog. She had raised many puppies.  Penelope is a friendly, happy girl.  She is living in a house for the first time EVER and loving it! And she is learning all sort of new things like manners, obedience skills (sit, wait, down) and house training.  Some are going well, others not so much.  Penelope loves to play fetch and carry things in her mouth (mostly shoes and toys).  She enjoys just hanging with her people.  She is a mildly active dog that doesn't require a ton of exercise. 

Penelope is on a medical hold for now as we get her vaccines up to date and get her spayed. She appears to have had many uncontrolled and untreated ear infections that needs attention and some possible skin allergies.
