6/17/17 UPDATE       Kiki has grown up so much in the time that she's been with us.  She has developed a ton of general manners!  Great on a leash.  Her interest in cats is much more subdued now that she can live with peacefully with them. She loves to cuddle either on the coach or bed.  Kiki is still a runner if given the opportunity, so a fence is a must.  Kiki  has free roam of the house although I do crate her when gone for longer periods.  I also crate her for shorter times just to keep her guessing. She loves playing with other dogs.  And she has started to play with toys very consistently.  Fetch is still hard for her as she doesn't  want to give the ball back. But making progress...when she came she wouldn't even chase the ball.

5/11/17 UPDATE            Kiki is still learning her general manners but has improved in the month that I have had her.  She does have free roam of my house when we are not home. She is not always prefect as she has puppy curiosity that can get her into some messes (especially when left for longer periods of time like 3+ hours).

Kiki has gotten more curious as she settled in.  She waits nicely at the door to go out but can still rush out at times.  She needs to be either on a leash or in a fenced area when she's outside as she is a runner.  She will mostly come to her name. However, the appeal of smells, sights and other dogs are usually better then me.  Her obedience skills are also improving.

She loves to be petted and snuggle on the couch or bed.  She has started playing with toys by herself and with the other dogs. Fetch is starting to happen. She loves to chew on bones and antlers. She is learning nicely and will make a great dog for someone willing to take the time and continue teaching her things.

Kiki is an active girl.  The best way to describe her is a 6 month old in a 2 year old's body!  She needs to learn a lot of manners.  She does know sit, but that is about it.  Kiki loves to play with other dogs by running and playing chase and also wrestling with them.  She tries to wrestle with humans also.  She can still get a little mouthy while trying to play with her humans.  I feel a home with NO small kids is a must.  She will not hesitate to run us over while playing.  Kids 10+ might be all right knowing that she may run into, knock over and play rough with them.

She takes treats very nicely and has no issues with food.  Kiki does not know how to play with toys. (We are working on that.)  She does not know how to fetch.  Kiki is responding well to leash training and going on walks with a Halti head collar. Without that, she tries to pull you everywhere.  Kiki will need  a fenced yard until her obedience skills are learned.  She has no recall yet, and does not come to her name when called. She does know her name and will look at you, but she doesn't come to you, yet.  We are working on her basic obedience skills (sit, wait, stay, come, down, off and go).

Kiki does tend to rush out the door, almost trying to escape. Kiki also loves to cuddle and snuggle on the couch or bed. She is crate-trained and will go in willingly with a treat. She can be left home with the other dogs without being crated. So far she has been trustworthy. She lives with other counter surfers, which means high quality items are not sitting out in her Foster Home.  So I don't know if she would take things, but she shows interest in things on the counter.

Kiki shows signs of anxiety in new situations. She will pace and drool. It would probably be best for her to have another dog with her and maybe even her person. Kiki has shown interest in my cats and will chase. She has not harmed them, but they (the cats) do not like her and will try at all costs to avoid her. A home without cats would be ideal.
