(06/16/16)  Hi, Punky here...  Well I'm only on my third week with my foster family, but doing great, having fun, and so happy.  There has been a lot of interest from people since I said I was ready to find my forever home, thank you!!  I am going to meet the first family tonight that my foster family thinks would be a good home for me...  I will let everyone know how that goes.

(6/6/16) Hi!  I'm "Punky" Brewster.  I am a 6-year-old white/yellow Lab who was surrendered to LEARN on 5/21/16.  I have been with my foster family since 5/27/16, and I settled in right away.  Now I'm ready to go to my forever home.
 
I am smaller framed and weigh about 48 pounds.  I have a great personality and am a very happy dog.  As you can see from the pictures, I always have a smile on my face.  I know basic commands of sit, lie down, shake, and most importantly "no".  I listen very well, and I'm good walking on leash . . . I get so excited when it's walk time.
 
I get along great with my foster brother and sister, both Labs, I have even been around cats. I am good around everyone from little kids to grown up kids!!  I like riding in the car, and I was eager to have a bath and get my nails cut when I got to my foster home.  My foster family feeds me grain-free food along with coconut oil and yogurt.  I've been accused of doing a little counter surfing but not since I got to my foster home.  I jump a little when I'm excited, but when my foster family simply tells me "no jumping" I sit, although somewhat anxiously.  I can get excited to get my treat, however, telling me to "be nice" gets me to take the treat nicely.
 
I look and act younger than my actual age of 6.  I have energy and love to play, but I also like to just lie around.  I am very sweet and love to be with people.
 
I am small and sweet, calm and essentially voiceless, although I do bark like what I would consider "a watch dog."  I like to tell you if someone is coming towards the house,  If you tell me "no," I will stop.  I startle at some loud noises but not to any great degree.  I don't like storms, but I just hide a little . . . I do not tremble or make noise.
 
My foster family tells me I am an absolute sweetheart and a great dog!  I may have been tied up outside some before I was surrendered.  I love my foster family's fenced-in yard where I can walk, run or just lie in the grass.  I also love going for walks on a leash around the neighborhood
 
I went to the Vet on Friday.  I am up-to-date on all my shots and got a thumbs up from the Vet.  So, I'm ready to go to my forever home.
