Hello All!!!
My name is Yogi (like the bear) and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am a one year old yellow lab who loves to play with people of all ages and other dogs. I currently live with another lab who I like to have fun with and chase around the yard. Now you may think that a one year old “puppy” is going to be hard to handle, but I could not be further from that statement. The best part about me is my being able to go in my kennel and keep quiet overnight. I know when it is bedtime and I also like to sleep, like you!!
I was found running around the Freeport, IL area and that is where Animal Control picked me up. My time was up and they were going to put me to sleep. That is when the nice people at LEARN came to my rescue. I am here and ready to meet my forever family!! Will that be you???
I did come with some training because I know how to sit and lay down. I walk great on a leash (my foster dad said I would benefit from this thing called “obedience school”) and I ride fantastic in the car. If there is a blanket in the car I can call my own, I will sleep on it and not bother anyone. As for my personality, I am curious, affectionate, and playful. I can retrieve almost anything that is tossed, bring it back to you, and drop it for you to throw it again. I love that game!!!
