Taffy would like to thank all of the people who have inquired about her over the past several months. She is a very sweet girl, but also very high energy. LEARN saw something special in her and decided to pursue a “career” for Taffy. We had her tested to see if she would have potential as a working dog. She passed her tests with flying colors. This past week Taffy joined the Cook Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Bomb Squad to begin her new career. Way to go Taffy!!! We are proud of you!

Hi! My name is Taffy. I was picked-up as a stray and my family never came to get me. While I was at the shelter, I surprised them by giving birth to one puppy, Matilda. The nice people at the shelter knew my baby probably wouldn’t survive there, so they called LEARN. Some nice ladies picked us up, took us for a really long ride and delivered us to our foster mom.
My foster mom thinks I’m 2-3 years old. I am housebroken, crate trained and ride nice in the car. I get along fine with other dogs and cats, too. I am fascinated by cats & will chase them, but never try to hurt them. In fact, I will back up really quick if they just look at me. I LOVE to play ball!! I am REALLY focused when I play. I will hunt it down wherever you throw it. Mom thinks I would be good at hunting. I am a very sweet girl and would love to have a family of my own.
