Snooper

Adopted!!!

Hi, my name is Snooper! I am a 5-year old housebroken neutered male black lab. I was surrendered by my previous owners because they could no longer care for me. I spent one month in a boarding kennel before the wonderful people from LEARN rescued me. My foster parents took me to the vet and discovered that I had an ear infection and allergies, but I am going through treatment and am feeling so much better!

I am learning the rules of the house very quickly. My foster parents have been reinforcing and teaching me new commands. I learned to “Wait” for my food. I can Sit, Down and Stay. I am so quiet in the house that you won’t even know I’m there. I don’t bark when strangers come to the door, although I’m curious. I don’t jump on people coming over to visit, although I like to be petted. I settle very nicely in a crate, although I prefer not to be in one. In my previous home, I was used to going on furniture and sleeping on beds, but my foster parents won’t allow it. I need a friendly reminder once in awhile. I follow my foster mom everywhere. I don’t let her out of my sight!

I love my foster lab sister too. We have lots of fun. She shares everything with me. She’s not the least bit concerned about me sleeping in her doggy beds, playing with her toys, or chewing on her bones. We love to play together outside, but you’ll never hear me barking or being obnoxious. In my previous home, I played with my 10-year old human brother and his friends and also lived with 2 senior dogs.

I can walk nicely on a leash if you help keep me focused. I have a tendency to look all around and explore new situations; hence my name “Snooper”.
