UPDATE: My name is Sadie and I am an owner surrender. I am a Black Lab mix with a white diamond marking on my upper chest. I weigh approximately 65 pounds, have a long gate with gorgeous long legs, and am a really pretty girl! If you adopt me, we can celebrate my 2nd Birthday in January of 2009.
I like to cuddle, get massages, and really know how to give you those sweet “puppy dog eyes.” At night, I’d love to cuddle in bed with you, but if there’s just not enough space to spread out, I settle perfectly in the room where you sleep. During the day, I like to play fetch, go on walks, run, and enjoy my other toys.
I also love water . . . I love to swim! When I went swimming at LEARN’s Pawgust Fest this past summer, I stayed in the water until my foster mom & dad bribed me to get out; and then, I went back to swim some more. I also thoroughly enjoy my baths!
I am getting better at not pulling hard on the leash, as my foster home is training me on the “Gentle Leader.” I still chase birds, squirrels, rabbits, cats, or whatever may come along. That’s why its best for me to be on a leash or in a fenced yard.
I’m getting better at getting into my crate before you leave. I still need a bribe, but I’ve started to walk in without much fuss. When you leave me even for a little while, I need to be crated; otherwise, I will search for you through every window in the house.
Eating is my specialty . . . I eat my meals quite well in the morning and in the early evening. If you ask me to sit . . . I do so. If you tell me down, I lie down. I am getting much better at “stay,” too! I am even learning how to “shake.”
Another favorite thing to do is to go for a car ride! I settle quite nicely in the back seat and usually fall asleep.
So, to sum it all up . . . I’m a cuddler, like to run, swim, and play, am a quick learner, and just want to be loved by YOU!

I like to cuddle (a whole bunch) and really know how to give you those sweet “puppy dog eyes.” At night, I’d love to cuddle in bed with you, but if there’s just not enough space to sprawl out, I settle perfectly in the room where you sleep. During the day, I like to gently climb on my foster mom’s lap to cuddle. Did I mention that I liked to cuddle?!
I also love water; in the bath or pool, but when they’re not available, I just dive my nose into my water bowl.
