UPDATE!!!

Hello again! Just wanted to let everyone know that I had surgery to get my eye fixed. I am so much more comfortable now, and Foster Mom says I look so handsome with my eye all better! I still have to wear one of those darn cone collars, and I hate them. They are so uncomfortable, but soon I won’t have to wear it anymore, and then I’ll be right as rain. Thanks so much to LEARN for helping me out!

————————————————————————————————-

Hello there! My name is Oliver. I’m 5 months old, and I am the most well behaved puppy you will ever find. Foster Mom says I’m very smart and such a good listener! She couldn’t believe that I am already housebroken. I’m not sure why it’s so shocking to her, as it is very uncivilized to do your business indoors. I believe that manners and civility are very important.

I have a bit of a problem with my left eye. My eyelid turns inward and the lashes rub on my eye, which irritates it, but I am getting treatment. So, with luck, it should be all better soon.

I am a very passive little boy, but as I experience more things in the world, my confidence builds. I am scared by a lot of things, but if I get some reassurance that all is well, I get over my fear easily. For example, when I first met my labbie foster sister, she was so scary, and she played so rough! Now, since Foster Mom has assured me that rough-housing is not so bad, I enjoy playing with my foster sister.

Like the poor little orphan boy I am named for, I am in search of a family of my own. Thanks to the kind folks at LEARN, I have been sprung from the animal shelter I was in, and have been given a better chance to find a family to love and appreciate me.

“Friendless I can never be, for all mankind are my kindred, and I am on ill terms with no one member of my great family.” ~Charles Dickens
