If you think a LEARN dog would be a good fit in your life, please complete an adoption application. We match applicants with the appropriate dog based on our knowledge and experience. If you are interested in a specific dog, please indicate that on your application, but that does not guarantee that dog will still be available once you've completed the application process.

UPDATE!!!

Hi, my name is Mitchell, and I am a 1 year old, neutered male, yellow lab. I was picked up as a stray, and thankfully the nice people at LEARN came to my rescue. When my foster family took me for my first vet visit, the Doctor said I had ACL tears in my hind legs, and recommended I have surgery on both knees to correct the problem. I had my first surgery January 31st, and I am almost fully recovered already. My second surgery is scheduled for March 11th, but I can be adopted prior to that!

My favorite activities are fetch, chewing on treat filled Kongs, playing with my canine foster sister, and best of all…having my belly scratched! I get along well with other dogs and children of all ages. My foster Mom runs an in-home daycare, and I got to meet all seven kids, little babies and bigger kids too! I also have 2 foster brothers who are 11 and 13, they sometimes lay on the floor with me, and use me as a pillow for their heads!

I ride super well in a car, I am crate trained, and house broken. At my foster families house, I am in a crate during the day, but I do not sleep in it at night time. On a leash, I can get excited and pull sometimes, so I need to be reminded to walk nice. Also, if I want to come in, I tend to bark/jump at the door, so I need reminders to wait nicely.

I really like to be around people, and give and get affection. I am loving and eager to please, so if I sound like a good match for family, please contact LEARN for more information. Thank-you!

Hi, my name is Mitchell, and I am a one year old male yellow lab. I was picked up as a stray and taken to Animal Control. Thankfully, the nice people at L.E.A.R.N came to my rescue!! When I was rescued, I was under weight and had some weakness and mobility issues with my hind legs. My foster family took me to the vet, and the Doctor said my two back knees had been “blown out” when I was just a small puppy. So, the Doctor decided I needed surgery to fix the problem. Aside from that, I am in great shape! I have a beautiful golden coat, and really pretty eyes. I am house broken and crate trained. I will soon be neutered and have one of my knees repaired, (the other one will be repaired at a later date but I can be adopted prior to that). I love riding in cars, I am great around other dogs and kids, and love to play with them. What more could you ask for?!

I am a bit of a “toy hog”, I like to tease my canine foster sister by playing “keep away” from her. We also enjoy the tug rope. I like attention and affection, but I can entertain myself with a good chew toy. I LOVE my belly scratched and I often sleep on my back. We are working on basic commands, I’m a quick learner. My foster parents think I am a great dog, and know that I will be a great addition to a loving family. Contact the nice people at L.E.A.R.N if you would like to adopt me!
