Merlin
Hi! My name is Merlin because I have a lot of long whiskers-I even have a little white beard under my chin! I’m not sure exactly how old I am because I was a stray when I was rescued. My foster mom thinks I’m between four and five months because I have all my puppy teeth yet. She also thinks I am very well behaved for being so young. I’m very polite in the house and like to chew on my toys and bones-I haven’t even tried to chew anything I’m not supposed to!
I listen well and am a very fast learner. I sleep quietly in my crate and already know sit, leave it, drop, come and I’ve almost got that whole stay thing down too. Oh but I do live up to my name in other ways too, I like to ‘disappear’ on my foster mom so I can go to the bathroom in privacy, so she thinks you might want to keep a close eye on me off leash! She also is pretty sure I am potty trained, but it is hard to tell for sure because I have been fighting a urinary infection and that makes it tough. Even with it I have had very few accidents. Mom doesn’t always get me out the door fast enough when I come up to her and nose her!
I am good around kids and other dogs, I have a canine foster sister and we just play and play for hours!! I really like her and even though I like to disappear to go to the bathroom I stick close by when we all go to the dog park. I’m so fearless I just dove into the water there and swam! I also am good with cats, though I do like to try to get them to play sometimes. They never do…sigh.
I love to play fetch with my foster mom, but I am perfectly able to entertain myself. I love people and boy to I enjoy snuggles!! If you want to be my forever family please contact LEARN!
