Hi, I’m Maizie. I’m a cute,smart 6 month old lab puppy. I know that you won’t be able to resist adopting me! I am a very serious and independent lab puppy —- my foster mom and dad say that I act very mature for my age. I was lucky enough to be picked up by LEARN by a really nice lady! I got a bad cold while I was at the shelter but fortunately I got some medicine and I am feeling much better.
I really like chewing on toys like nylabones, rawhides and kongs. Once in a while though, I need to be reminded what I can and cannot put in my mouth. I am already housebroken, I know how to “sit” and “down”, I wait at the door, I ride well in the car, I do a pretty good job walking on leash and I can’t wait to go to doggie school. My foster mom and dad say that I learn very quickly. When my foster parents aren’t home, I do well in my crate, but lately my foster parents have been leaving me out of the crate and I do great. One of my favorite things to do is to lean on the windowsill and watch quietly.
I really like playing with my foster brother, a 1.5 year old golden retriever. Sometimes I jump right over my standing brother, without a running start, so my foster mom and dad think I would do great at agility training. I’m not sure about these things called cats, I haven’t really seen one up close. If I’m placed in a family with another dog, I would benefit from a family who knows (or is willing to learn) how to remind me of the rules of a pack. I would like to be the top dog and need my new family to help me learn how to play with other dogs. I can’t wait to meet you and steal your heart, so contact LEARN and ask for me!
