If you think a LEARN dog would be a good fit in your life, please complete an adoption application. We match applicants with the appropriate dog based on our knowledge and experience. If you are interested in a specific dog, please indicate that on your application, but that does not guarantee that dog will still be available once you've completed the application process.
If you have already been approved to adopt a LEARN dog, and you are interested in me, please

Adopted!!!
Hello,
My name is Luke.
Got a minute? I’ll fill you in on myself.
First let me say that I am happy to have been taken in by LEARN. I lived in a shelter for a year. Yup, a whole year. I was what they call “a stray.” (My foster parents think I was an outside dog who ran away from a “not so nice owner.”) I am not sure how old I am. We are guessing 6 years old? From being in the shelter so long, I do have some arthritis and walk with a little limp. But, with some regular exercise (I love to go for walks) and some glucosamine for my joints, I think I will build up the strength in my legs.
They tell me I am a very good boy and very sweet, but I am also a little shy. However, I am getting over that, and am making steady progress and learning that men are not so bad. I am now housebroken, Hooray for me! High fives and treats all around!
My tail wags a lot, and my whole body wiggles when I am happy. Another thing I have started doing is playing with toys, I like the tug rope and a stuffed bear the most.
I take treats very gently, the best of all the dogs in the house. I am good in the house, and the only time I bark is when my foster parents leave for work but then I’ll settle down nicely. I get along well with all the dogs I have met, I am here with 3 other dogs! My 2 hound foster sisters are really noisey, and one is bossy and the other is naughty. My foster brother who is also a Lab and I are the “good boys” and we are proud of it!
My foster mom says I am hardly any work at all and would make a great companion. If you think you are the special person for me, please contact LEARN. But I’ll warn you: My foster mom will probably make you walk on water to be able to adopt me!
Love Luke
