Hi! My name is Lucy and I am about 9 years old. Don’t let my age fool you – I still have plenty of spunk! I was sad when I was forgotten at a kennel in July with my 4 other lab brothers and sisters, but I was so happy when I finally got to leave there in November to live with my foster parents. In fact, I am so happy that I wag my tail most of the time! In secret my foster parents have nicknames for me: polar bear because I am a very light yellow lab and metronome because of my energetic tail-wagging.
I am a big girl at 90 pounds and so I am on a diet and exercise plan. Luckily, my favorite thing to do is to play fetch with tennis balls. I am really good at this game and I will bring the ball right back to your feet so you can throw it again and again. I also enjoy lounging on the couch, cuddling, or hanging out wherever you are. I walk really well on leash and I am friendly with all of the people, dogs, and cats that I meet on our walks. My foster mom and dad say that I am well-behaved in their house and am doing well learning “sit”. Every once in a while I like to investigate the garbage, but we are working on me not doing this anymore.
I sure am a cute girl with lots of love to give and I know you can’t wait to take me home!!
