If you think a LEARN dog would be a good fit in your life, please complete an adoption application. We match applicants with the appropriate dog based on our knowledge and experience. If you are interested in a specific dog, please indicate that on your application, but that does not guarantee that dog will still be available once you've completed the application process.

George
Adopted!!!
Hi everyone,
I want to take a moment to introduce myself – my name is George. Of course that is not my original name but since I ended up at a kill shelter and the fine people at LEARN saved me that is the name they have chosen for me. I really like to be called “Big George”.
I am living with other dogs right now and really like them all. There is also a cat, who I like to chase so it might be best if I didn’t live one. I know how to sit, shake, come when called and am working on the down command. I would really like to go to obedience class just so I could learn new commands and get better at the things that I already know. I also ride very nicely in the car. I am about 2 yrs. old and as you can see from my pictures pretty handsome – don’t you love my black nose. I am the tallest lab at my foster home.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I really like the water. My first day in my foster home, we got to play in the labbie (kiddie) pool – that sure was fun after being in the car all day getting to my foster home. My foster mom got out all the toys the other morning and I thought I was in heaven. There were bones, tennis balls, and a large kong. I just had so much fun playing with all that stuff, runninng around, switching between the ball and the bone – it was great!
I hope that you might consider me as you new forever friend.
XOXOXOX, Big George
