Ditka Hello, my name is Ditka. I’m a 3y.o. male yellow lab, and I was surrendered to LEARN because my owners felt they couldn’t take care of me like I need. As you can see from one of my pictures, my favorite toy is a dog tire – I love to play fetch with it and catch it in the air, my foster mom tells me that the best part is that I “drop it” right at your feet so we can play some more. There isn’t any “catch if you can” play for me. I also know sit, lay down, shake (with both paws), and come. I’m good with cats and children. I get so excited to see other dogs and people that I jump in the air – I haven’t jumped on anyone, which is a good thing. I do need to have a really long walk in the mornings, or run with you to help me be a total gentleman for the day. I want to be with you so much that I will cry a bit when you leave me. I am crate trained but I don’t want to go in there, as I want to be with you. I have proven to be housebroken and can be left in a room by myself without touching things that aren’t mine. I don’t get up on the furniture either. I almost forgot, I am also living with a canine sister lab who is 11 and I have respected her wishes to be left alone but I have also played tug-o-war with her when she wanted. I am a big boy, so my foster family is working on trimming my figure. If you are looking for an energetic boy with lots of love to give, let LEARN know that you want me to apart of your family.
