Hello LEARN fans!!!
My name is Dakota and I am a 2 year old purebred black labbie. As you can see from my pictures, I am very photogenic!! I came to LEARN because my family could not take care of me. I did not come alone though, I came with my sister, Tiger (who went to another foster family). The great news is I am already trained in the essentials…potty, crate, and commands!! My previous family really worked with me to get me up to par. I know sit, lay down, drop (like drop the ball so you can throw it) and I am working on this thing called “wait”. When I give you my tennis ball, I see you raise your arm up to throw it and I am already 50 feet away from you. My foster dad says I have to be patient…but I WANT THE BALL!!!!! Retrieving the ball is the best thing I know how to do. You do not need to chase me to get the ball back, I will drop it by your feet.
When I came to my foster home, I did not want to come out of my kennel because I was scared of what will happen to me. After a day of checking out the place, I warmed up to my temporary roommate and I even have a four-legged foster sister to play with. My big blocky head will rest on your lap if you are feeling down. I love to go for walks, do well on a leash (my new family will have to reinforce that I have to stay next to them when we walk), ride super in the car, and have a high spirit for life.
With all these great qualities about me, I do not think I will be waiting long for my new forever family…will that be you??
